Michael Arenal's Modern Mal is a speedy convex bottom longboard inspired by late-60s Aussie sleds. The outline is nicely hipped, with the wide point pulled back from center, and a rather pulled in nose and square tail. The rails are bladey, creating an engaged hull-like rail feel that knifes like butter. On the bottom, Michael kept the contours completely convex throughout, with a moderate belly that extends from nose to tail. Rocker is minimal, featuring a subtle curve throughout that allows for both arcing and whippy turns.
