A charming pair of Victorian-era drop earrings, modeled as half orbs, in 14k yellow gold. These curved faces of these orbs are covered with a delicate pattern of scallops or scales, made with applied, Etruscan-style wirework. A row of tiny granulated beads acts as an equator, dividing the orbs into hemispheres. This decor is exceptionally fine, and the perfect repetition in the design is especially winning.
