Rainforest Jasper is a type of Rhyolitic lava, formed during an eruption of the extinct Mount Hay volcano near Queensland, Australia about 120 million years ago. Rainforest jasper wad named so because the mixture of green, red, yellow, brown, and orange colorations reminds us of the rainforest canopy. The cavities are with and tridymite; ( a polymorph of the mineral Quartz)  and filled with chalcedony.
